Dr Julian Webber BDS, MS, DGDP, FICD
Born 1952. After qualifying from Birmingham Dental School, UK in 1974, Dr Webber worked as an Associate in a National Health Service Practice for two years before continuing his education at Northwestern University Dental School, Chicago, Illinois, USA. As the recipient of the prestigious Charles Freeman Scholarship of the American Dental Society of Europe he was the first UK dentist to receive a Master of Science Degree and Certificate in Endodontics and returned to the UK in 1978. Dr Webber has held teaching positions both at Guys Hospital and Eastman Dental Schools in London whilst maintaining a practice limited to Endodontics in central London since 1978. In October 2002, he opened the Harley Street Centre for Endodontics, a purpose built state of the art clinical teaching facility. In 1998, he became Editor in Chief of the Endodontic Practice journal, a clinical endodontic journal which has rapidly grown into a world leader in its field with a large circulation both in the UK and worldwide and is now published in the US and throughout Russia and former CIS (in russian).

Prof. Adam Stabholz
Dean The Hebrew University - Hadassah School of
Dental Medicine,
Jerusalem, Izrael
Born in Poland in 1948 and immigrated to Israel with his family at the age of two. He completed his compulsory army service, in 1968, with the rank of captain in the Israel Air Force. In 1974 he graduated from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine founded by the Alpha Omega Fraternity and in 1978 he completed the graduate program in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.
In 1988, he was appointed Head of the Department of Endodontics at the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, a position he has held ever since. Prof Stabholz was elected as Dean of the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in 1993, and in 1996 he was re-elected as Dean for a second consecutive three years term. In this year, he was also promoted to the rank of full professor in Endodontics.
He has been chairman of the organising committees for several international congresses held in Israel, including: the First International Endodontics Conference (1981); the Second World Dental Conference (1988); the International I.B. Bender Conference of Endodontics (1996), the Fourth Endodontic World Congress of IFEA (1998) and the 50th Anniversary Celebrations and Scientific Congress of the School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem (2003).
Prof. Stabholz has held several important positions in the Alpha Omega Fraternity. In 1984, he was elected President of the Jerusalem Chapter. In 1989, he was the Marshal of the International Alpha Omega Convention in Jerusalem and in the following 13 years he served Alpha Omega as a Regent, as an International Trustee and as an International Director.
He is also the past President of IFEA-the International Federation of Endodontic Associations, an umbrella organization of endodontic societies of 28 countries.
Prof. Stabholz was awarded honorary degrees from the University of Bucharest and the University of Buenos Aires and the Certificate of Merit of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. He received from the Israel Dental Association the “Yakir Harash” award - the highest award for outstanding contribution to the dental profession in Israel and was elected as the Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Israel Dental Association.
On May 2005, Adam Stabholz was elected again as Dean of the Hebrew Univesity - Hadassah school of Dental Medicine for a term of 4 years and in May 2009, he was re-elected for his forth term for four more years.
Adam Stabholz has published extensively in the dental literature; he is the author of several chapters in endodontic textbooks and has lectured at many international dental meetings. His current research is focused on the application of lasers in dentistry. |

Prof. Joshua Moshonov
Acting chairman of the department of Endodontics at the Hebrew university - Hadassah faculty of Dental Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel
Prof. Joshua Moshonov is a clinical associate professor and acting chairman of the department of Endodontics at the Hebrew university - Hadassah faculty of Dental Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel. He received his DMD degree on 1979 and completed the Endodontic specialty program on 1989 both at the Hebrew university - Hadassah faculty of Dental Medicine. He is Past President of the Israel Endodontic Society. He is a member of the national board of Endodontics and was a member of the national examiner committee in dentistry of the ministry of health of the state of Israel. Prof. Moshonov was also the chairman of the Jerusalem Branch of the Israel Dental Association, chairman of the Israel Specialty Board of Endodontics, and now he is a member of the Scientific Council of the Israel Dental Association.
As a faculty member of the Hebrew university - Hadassah faculty of Dental Medicine since 1988, Prof. Moshonov was for many years the director of the undergraduate endodontic program. He was also the Coordinator of the First Course in Advanced Dental Medicine of The D. Walter Cohen Middle East Center of Dental Education, Chairman of the Teachers-Students committee, Chairman of the Alumni association, member of Faculty Admission Committee for dental students and head of clinics.
He is also a member of the editorial board of "Refuat Hape Vehashinaim", the Journal of the Israel Dental Association and member of the editorial board of the journal "Endodontic practice".
Prof. Moshonov has authored and co authored many scientific articles and is invited to lectures both nationally and internationally.
His current research focuses on the application of new technologies in endodontics and laser applications in dentistry.
He maintains a private practice limited to endodontics in Tel Aviv, Israel. |

Pr Pierre Machtou DDS, MS, PhD, FICD
Prof. Dr. Pierre Machtou graduated 1967 at the Paris 7-Denis Diderot University. He completed his habilitation and became a full professor at the same University in 1997. He is the past scientific director and general secretary of the French Endodontic society. He is a member of numerous national and international endodontic and dental societies, such as AAE, ESE, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. In 2006, he was the recipient of the Pierre Fauchard’s Elmer S Best Memorial Award.
Pierre Machtou serves as the associate Editor of Endodontic Practice and was scientific advisor of the IFEA World Congress in Paris 1992. He lectured and held seminars extensively in many countries worldwide. He is the author of 70 articles and 9 book chapters. He has limited his practice to Endodontics since 1978.

Dr Thomas Clauder
Thomas Clauder received his dental degree from the Dental School at the University of Hamburg, Germany, in 1994. From 1999 until 2001 he completed the International Program at the University of Pennsylvania, Department of Endodontics. He limited his dental career to endodontics and currently works in private practice in Hamburg, Germany.
Thomas Clauder is founding member of the German Association of Endodontics. Since the foundation of the German Association of Endodontics he has been board member, primarily involved in congress organisation, and from 2003 until 2005 vice president of the same organization. He is member of the Study Group of Microdentistry in Germany. He lectures and gives hands-on seminars nationally and internationally on a variety of endodontic topics. Thomas Clauder published articles on root canal instrumentation and the use of microscopes in endodontics in national and international endodontic books and journals.
He is associate member of the American Association of Endodontists, certified member of the European Society of Endodontology, member of the Swiss Society for Endodontology and specialist member of the German Association of Endodontists.
